BOBCATS FALL TO JONATHAN ALDER
GHHS prepares now for tournament action
  
The GHHS Varsity squad (12-8, 10-4) and its Head Coach Ray Corbett saluted the Bobcats' four seniors - Spencer Rinehart, Oliver Rouch, Hayden Wernet, and Dakota Williams - with a pre-game ceremony Saturday at Bobcat Gymnasium.

Then it was on to the game with non-conference opponent Jonathan Alder. The Pioneers, out of Plain City, came into the contest with an 18-1 record and ranked #6 in the latest AP Ohio poll in Division II.

Jonathan Alder got out to a quick lead, but the Bobcats stayed within range of the lead all night with fine defensive play. The Pioneers, behind good scoring efforts from seniors Tyler Parker (17) and Eric Roby (13), won 43-31.

Sophomore Luke Miller led the Bobcats with a consistent 13-point performance. Junior Adam Cincione chipped in with 6 points. The entire Bobcat team played great pressure defense to hold the Pioneers well below their average offensive output.

The 'Cats will now move on to post-season action. Their next game will be Wednesday, February 29th at Westerville North High School, tipping off at 7:45pm. The Bobcats will face the winner of the Fredericktown vs. Centerburg game.
